Under the aegis of DAV Centre for Academic Excellence, DAV Organization New Delhi, Police DAV Public School, Ambala City organized One Day Capacity Building Programme for teachers teaching Social Science and Pre-Primary Classes (EEDP). About 170 teachers from different DAV  schools of Ambala Zone participated. The inauguration of the programme was done with the lighting of the lamp and recitation of Gayatri Mantra and DAV Gaan. In his welcome address the principal of the host school and Ambala Cluster Head Dr. Vikas Kohli said that schools are known by their  teachers. The vision of our esteemed president Dr. Punam Suri to make our schools the first choice will be fulfilled through our teachers so we need  to be the best. Dr. Sushma Arya Regional Director formally introduced the programme. She  told the teacher delegates that constant and continuous training is part of DAV culture. We have to keep ourselves updated to avoid stagnation. It is the moral duty of every teacher to take to students whatever they learn from this workshop and give them the best. In the Social Studies workshop the course content taken up by the Resource Persons Mrs. Manju Suthar and Mrs. Monika Makan included Map Skill &  Lesson Plan, Smart and easy learning techniques, Discussions on Problem areas, Syllabus and projects, Revision techniques and Strategies for weak students.

The whole workshop was interspersed with a number of activities and games through which teaching can be made enjoyable and easy for children. The Resource Persons in EEDP Mrs.Mamta Vashisht , Mrs. Shashi Sharma, Mrs. Madhu Matta, Mrs. Pooja Rajpal had extremely lively, interactive Sessions with the teacher delegates.The programme concluded with Significant feedback from teacher delegates regarding their experience about the programme.
