On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Police DAV Public School celebrated this day with great enthusiasm as 'Swachhata Hi Seva' in the premises of School. The students of the school participated enthusiastically in this and they did shramdaan in the school premises and also vowed that they will not use plastic and make others aware of it.Under this 'Swachhata Hi Sewa' Painting, poetry competition, speech competition, slogan writing and cleanliness campaign awareness rally competitions were also organized in the school.
The school's principal, Dr. Vikas Kohli, congratulated the children on Gandhi Jayanti. He told the children that the main objective of this program is to empower cleanliness and environment and to promote respect for labor and the spirit of labor service among the youth. Gandhiji gave an important place to cleanliness and always made people aware of it.
